Solution
Righteous agreed to open an online store for Great Harvest without an exclusivity agreement. The store was set up with all non-stock options that have production minimums. Locations could order from Righteous if they wanted to, but the corporate office had no obligations for stock on the shelf.
To augment this offering, Righteous provided a once-a-month special for all locations to participate in a group order special, allowing them to purchase as few as one piece at the price break of a full-size order.
Results
The monthly specials have been a huge hit. Locations check the store at the beginning of each month to see what the current special is and place their orders as soon as possible. We collect orders for two weeks, produce them all together, and split ship to the locations.
Though we are not exclusive, our great design work, excellent customer service, and LTO’s have made us one of their top vendor partners for over a decade. We have participation from over 85% of their system.
